A non-profit organization that works for therestoration of the Bay and the rivers that flow into it.
• Center for Environmental Science (University of Maryland)

UMCES is the foremost institution for environmental research and is a world leader in the science of coastal environments.
• Chesapeake Bay Commission

An advisory commission that provides information and advice about the Chesapeake Bay to the legislatures of Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania.
• Chesapeake Bay Foundation

This Foundation is a nonprofit conservation organization working to restore the Chesapeake Bay.
• Chesapeake Bay Observing System (CBOS)
  The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science maintains this site which provides real time information from four locations in the Chesapeake Bay.  Information includes temperature, humidity, rainfall, salinity, wind and currents.
• Chesapeake Bay Program

A regional partnership program that focuses on the restoration of the Chesapeake Bay.

Provides scientific and technical guidance to the Chesapeake Bay Program.

• Coalition to End Childhood Lead Poisoning

The Coalition To End Childhood Lead Poisoning is dedicated to preventing childhood lead poisoning through advocacy, outreach, and education. Working in partnership with the community, the Coalition is committed to ensuring that all children grow up in affordable, lead safe housing and that community-based solutions for lead-safe  housing are implemented which will result in healthier children and healthier communities.
• Data Base of the Occurrence and Distribution of Pesticides in Chesapeake Bay

The data base provides a single source for most of the existing information on the spatial and temporal distribution of pesticide residues in the region for a target list of twelve pesticides. The information will be useful to policy makers, scientists, and environmental managers.
