SAILOR VIDEOCONFERENCING NETWORK (SVN)

Sailor Operations Center provides videoconferencing services at six locations distributed geographically around Maryland. 

All six sites can be linked together for a statewide event, or as few as two sites can be linked for smaller meetings. The system features two large screen monitors at each site so it can support simultaneous visual display of the participants at all locations on one monitor, while displaying video, websites, presentations, etc., on the second.

Committee meetings, distance learning events, continuing education events, cultural events, and children's programs are just a few of the opportunities to bypass the inconvenience of distance in Maryland through videoconferencing.  Use of the service is available to public libraries, government agencies and officials, and non-profit agencies in Maryland. There is no charge assessed for its use by them.
