  • Who should I call if I have trouble getting a dial-up connection?

    The Sailor Help Desk. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 5:00. Our number is (410) 396 - 4636.    When you call, we will do our best to help you. 

    If we determine there is a Sailor problem (e.g., we can't get a connection either), we'll escalate the problem to our service provider. They are usually able to resolve problems within minutes of their being reported.

    If we determine the system is working we will do our best to help you troubleshoot what may be wrong at your end. If the situation is beyond our ability to assist you (e.g, it turns out your hardware is malfunctioning, or we suspect you are having phone line problems) we will recommend you contact your computer support person or agency, or your telephone service provider.

    Before you call the Sailor Help Desk please consider the possibilities given in the Sailor Dial-Up Troubleshooting Guide. The Help Desk will be referring to this guide as they work with you.

  • Who do I call if I forget my user name or password?

    Please call or e-mail the Sailor Help Desk if you forget your user name or password.

  • When will my VIP account expire?

    Your account will be deleted upon termination of your current affiliation with the agency that sponsored your account, or upon your request or that of your library.
